THE CANADA GOOSE PROJECT and THE ENDANGERED SPECIES TASK FORCE of
the SIERRA CLUB will hold a no-host breakfast meeting at the Woodley
Lakes Golf Course Restaurant on Saturday, August 16, at 8AM. The Golf
Course Restaurant is located just south of Victory and just west of
Woodley in the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area.
Topics to be described will include plans for the third "RE-ENCHANTING
THE CITY CONFERENCE" to be held in/around Griffith Park in October,
2004. The theme will be WILD PATHWAYS: Corridor Overpasses and Undercrossings.
Other projects will include "Wildlife Drinkers", designed
for wildlife habitat during drought conditions in our Urban Parks.
Committee positions for specific projects such as Outreach, Publicity,
Newsletter and Education are offering a chance to meet interesting
people and learn how to interface with City and County officials.
Bring your Binoculars to observe the resident flocks of Canada Geese
on the golf course. Senior Recreation and Parks Gardener Lynn Kennedy
will present a clip from the new Goose Project documentary, :A Wild
Goose Case", filmed on the golf course last year.
